Welcome! Please take a few moments to get to know Soquel High School and our website, which can put you in touch with the extraordinary opportunities at SHS.

The Academics section contains information on course offerings including a variety of AP courses, the renowned Humanities Academy, and the Green Manufacturing, Engineering, and Construction (gMEC) Academy. The Performing Arts section details the Soquel High award-winning Jazz Band, comprehensive ceramics studio, and drama programs such as Knights of the Square Stage. College Day: Thursday Oct 30th     


We will have our first Annual College / Career Fair at an extended lunch, 12:20 - 1:05, in first quad. College Reps and staff and faculty representing their alma mater will be out in the first quad on Thursday, October 30th during our extended lunch. Food, music, activities, and good conversations are planned for this day.



Halloween is coming soon
All students will be allowed to wear a costume on Friday, October 31st only, but you must follow the dress code. The Halloween Dress Code can be found HERE. Students found to be not in compliance could be sent home to change.


There will be a costume contest at lunch in the first quad on 10/31.  All interested students must go to first quad at brunch to enter the contest.  Categories include:  most creative, best DIY costume, group, and more.

Orchid Show and Sale

In conjunction with the Soquel High School FFA/ROP and the Santa Cruz Orchid Society will hold their annual show and sale on Saturday, November 1st , 9am to 5 pm and Sunday, November 2nd , 10 am to 4 pm. This event is free to the public and will be held in the MU Room at Soquel High (Free Parking too). Orchids will be for sale as well as a display of show winning orchids to look at.  Knights of the Square Stage Presents a Fall Fundraiser

"Murder in the Knife Room" by Jonathan Rand

This is a farcical murder mystery that relies on sterotypes, stinging satire and limited literacy value. It's fun! It's sassy! It's "Murder in the Knife Room" one perforance only, Friday, November 8th, 7:30 pm in the MU Room. Tickets are $6 available at the door.

Soquel Creek Water District will be replacing piping along Soquel Drive from 41st Avenue to Porter Street/Old San Jose Road starting in mid-March. Traffic control and partial road closures affecting Soquel Drive will be in effect through August 2014 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This will include one-lane limitations and no left-hand turns at times. The area will be subject to traffic delays of up to 15 minutes on Soquel Drive and some adjoining cross streets. Up-to-date information on road closures is available at sccroadclosure.org. Project information is available at soquelcreekwater.org.
