NOT JUST BOO -- BAAAB
Monday (Halloween) is a B day this week since Wednesday is a minimum day. This week's schedule: Monday-B, Tuesday-A, Wednesday-minimum A, Thursday-A, Friday-B.

DAY OF THE KNIGHT: HALLOWEEN

For those students who would like to dress up on Halloween for school, you are welcome to as long as you follow the guidelines listed below.

  1. School rules regarding the dress code must be followed.
  2. No masks or weapons of any kind are allowed. No fake blood or other substances that will spill or cause a mess are allowed.
  3. Any wigs, hats or other tall pieces of a costume that could be distractive by obstructing the view of others during class must be removed during class time.
  4. No short skirts/tutus or short shorts, no bare midriffs, no bare shoulders or low necklines.
  5. Students may not wear anything suggestive or provocative in nature. No underwear as outerwear will be allowed.
  6. Nothing that promotes the use of illegal substances or activities that are derogatory or disrespectful or depict violence will be allowed.
  7. Students must show respect for other students by not choosing costumes that are insensitive and/or offensive to the diverse backgrounds represented by others at our school.
  8. Students must show respect to other students by not touching, defacing or insulting other students' costumes.

Soquel Students - We would like to continue the tradition of dressing up for Halloween, so please BE RESPECTFUL AND RESPONSIBLE!

 

There will be a Halloween costume contest in the first quad at break!

The Soquel High Fund meeting is on Tuesday, Nov. 1,in the library with the executive committee meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. and the general meeting at 7 p.m.

 

HELP PLAN GRAD NIGHT
The Grad Night Commitee meeting is Wednesday, Nov. 2,
at 6:30 p.m. in the Library

WORSTEST PLAY FUNDRAISER

The Soquel High School Knights of the Square Stage will present The Worstest Play Ever Wrote by Jason Pizzarello at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 10.

The play follows the tale of a love-struck penguin, the sock puppet romance of Romeo and Juliet, as well as a Greek chorus in bathrobes.

Tickets are $10 and include snacks. For information, call Maggie Kline 429-3909, ext. 158.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
There are usher spots available for the long-awaited return of the Shakespeare Santa Cruz/UCSC Theater Arts Holiday show, A Year with Frog and Toad. The performances start November 18 and run through December,11. Show times vary depending on the night of the week and there are weekend matinees. All performances take place at the Mainstage Theater and call time for ushers is 1 1/2 hours before show time. The attire will be all black. Dress warmly since some of you (ticket takers) will be outside for a good 1/2 hour on the cement in the cold. Plan on arriving early for parking and bring $4 for a parking space.
