Our girls' volleyball team will travel to El Dorado on Tuesday to face Union Mine in the NorCal finals. Way to go, ladies!

Soquel High had a number of students selected for honor choirs.
Students named to the Regional All-State Honor Choir are Deanna Dawson, Taylor Boling, Allison Hill, Nick Roberto, Zack DaSilva, Emma Bushnell, and Josh Fox. Those selected to CCS Honor Choir are Deanna Dawson, Emma Bushnell, Bernice Morales,Erica Bertelsen, Taylor Boling, Allison Hill, Elisa Paden, Margarita Barretto, Nick Roberto, Josh Fox, Zack DaSilva, and Henry Sanders. Congratulations!
SENIOR SUPPLIES
This Tuesday, Nov. 29,and Wednesday, Nov. 30, are the days to order for rings, caps and gowns, and announcements. Students should have attended a meeting to receive their forms. If parents did not get them additional packages are available in the main office. Ordering of items does require a deposit and they have payments plans. This is the only time Jostens is coming to take orders, so get your package ready. They will take orders by mail but it will cost more.

Juniors who wish to order rings may do so on Tuesday, Nov 29, by turning in order forms to Cheryl in the main office. They will have to come and pick up forms in the main office ahead of time..
BLOOD DRIVE The SHS Blood Drive is this Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in the upper gym. Hosted by Stanford Blood Center and organized by the Red Cross Club, parents, staff, faculty, and community are all encouraged to donate blood. Students must be 16 years old and at least 110 lbs. All students must complete a permission slip to donate blood. Those students who are 16 will receive a call home to verify parent permission. Give blood - Save lives!
SAT PRACTICE
Polish your test-taking skills with a practice SAT session on Saturday, Dec. 10. Sponsored by Revolution Prep, our school gets the $10 fee and students get an online score report with a detailed performance analysis, including personalized feedback on the essay portion. The session will be held at the Soquel High campus, with check-in at 8:30 a.m. and the test running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCHEON
The staff appreciation lucheon honoring our teachers, administrators and staff is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec 13. The luncheon is a way for Soquel High families to thank thse incredible people! You can help by donating food, drinks, decorations, and/or your time. The food items that the staff seems to enjoy are luncheon meats, cheeses, salads, quiches, pasta dishes, sushi, breads, fruit, and desserts. A variety of drinks such as juices, sparkling waters and punch are a nice compliment to the lunch. Food and drink items can be dropped off in the school office or brought to the staff room before noon on the 13th. Holiday Boutique: Unique and wonderful gifts for the holiday season will be available for purchase on Thursday, Dec. 8 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in room 600. This event is sponsored by ROP Floral Design and FFA (Future Farmers of America).

GRAD NIGHT PIZZA FUNDRAISER Plan to take a break from Thanksgiving leftovers and come to Pizza My Heart on Wednesday, Nov. 30, between 4 and 9 p.m. at 2180 41st Avenue in Capitola. Mention that you are there to support Soquel High School Grad Night and we will receive a portion of your purchase to help fund the event. You can dine in, carry out or even have it delivered. They have great pizza and salads, too. The parents of Grad Night will have their next meeting at Pizza My Heart that evening at 6:30 pm. You do not have to be a family of a senior to come and support us. We can use help from everyone. Our goal is to raise money to keep the price of tickets as low as possible and still have fun things to do. Bingo: We are recruiting volunteers for future dates and still need people for Dec. 20 and Dec. 27. A group of four can earn about $330 for each Tuesday night they volunteer!
