BECOMING MEMORIES PRODUCTION This coming weekend, the Soquel High School Knights of the Square Stage will present Becoming Memories by Arthur Giron in the MPR. The play is about five families, told in three generations, as a reflection of the photographs that the children hold and remember about their families. Crossing religious, ethnic and cultural boundaries, the play begins in 1911, takes the audience through World War I and almost into the present. The wall of the foyer will be covered with old photographs of families that the Soquel Community has donated to the performance. The design concept for this production will be done in sepia tones to reflect the quality and concept of this piece, and as a reminder of the faded quality of old family photos. Directed by Maggie Kline, student designers will embrace these old fashioned tones. Costume design by Daphne Brinson, scenic design by Hayley Selden, lighting design by Joshua Fox, sound design by David Puhl and stage managed by Emily Beadnell , this production will step families back in time and provide a time for conversation and reflection. The show runs Jan. 13-15, with Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.. Tickets are id=mce_marker2 general admission and id=mce_marker0 for senior citizens and ASB students, available at the door.JOIN LACROSSE
