ANOTHER WEIRD WEEK
Friday is the Veteran's Day holiday with no classes, so this Monday is a B day, followed by Tuesday-A, Wednesday-B, Thursday-A,.WORSTEST PLAY FUNDRAISER

The Soquel High School Knights of the Square Stage will present The Worstest Play Ever Wrote by Jason Pizzarello at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 10.

The play follows the tale of a love-struck penguin, the sock puppet romance of Romeo and Juliet, as well as a Greek chorus in bathrobes.

TERRIFIC TEAMS

As the fall sports season winds down, we congratulate all SHS athletes. Some highlights include championships by both the boys' and girls' waterpolo teams in the TCAL Mountain Division, and a co-championship by girls' volleyball, which continues in playoffs this week. And the varsity football team once again emerged victorious against Santa Cruz to keep the Stump for another year.

Congratulations to Mark Bidelman in the Soquel High music department
for winning KSBW's Crystal Apple Award as teacher of the month.


COLLEGE & CAREER NIGHT AT CABRILLO

All students and families are invited to learn more about options after high school and meet with representatives from many colleges and universities at College & Career Night on Nov. 7 Cabrillo College Gym, Bldg. 1100, 6-8 p.m.

Seniors: This is the month to submit applications for CSU and UC admission.

 

BINGO & SPORTS FOUNDATION NEWS

BINGO VOLUNTEERS: Urgently need volunteers for Nov 22. Individual sign ups accepted for this date - please volunteer! Call and sign up today! Kim 818-1077 or Kathy 475-8884.All Tuesday nights in December are still available for teams, clubs or individuals to raise money for school activities.You can get family and friends to sign up as the four volunteers - they can be parents, neighbors, co-workers. Helpers just need to be over 18, love customer service and selling. Each volunteer can designate the night's earnings toward player fees, teacher wish lists, sports teams, library, humantities, band, drama and more. Plenty of slots available in the new year as well.

BIG-LEAGUE FUNDRAISER

Come to the Soquel High gymon Saturday, Nov. 26, to hear Soquel High grad and Milwaukee Brewer third baseman Casey McGehee and Salinas native and U.S. Olympic softball pitcher Monica Abbott do a presentation with a question- and-answer, autograph, and photograph sessions. It will be from 1 to 4 p.m..The event will raise money to repair or replace the outfield turf on the varsity field and do other needed repairs.
E-WASTE GRAD NIGHT FUNDRAISER THANKS
Thanks to everyone who brought their e-waste on Oct. 29. We collected 8,764 pounds. Look for more Grad Night events next week.
