June 15/16, 2012 – Knight on the Bay Dear Senior Parents, Grad Night is just around the corner! Now is the time to reserve a space for your graduating senior. Grad night is a safe, drug and alcohol free event where our graduates can celebrate their years of hard work and achievements at Soquel High. Our goal is to create a memorable, fun occasion for all graduates. This year’s event is being held aboard one of Commodore’s multi-million dollar yachts on San Francisco Bay on the night of June 15, 2012. Great food, DJ, dancing, and raffle prizes are all included in the price of admission. We also plan to include photo booths, henna and airbrush tattoo artists, and a hypnotist! The success of our fundraisers will determine how many activities we can include to make this evening unforgettable! The participants must arrive at the school by 7:45pm on June 15th and will return to the school at 4:30am on the morning of June 16th. In an effort to keep this event safe, as well as drug and alcohol free, participants will be selected at random for breathalyzer screening prior boarding the buses. All students and their bags will be checked prior to entering the bus. *NOTE: No backpacks, gum, or large bags will be allowed on board the buses or the yacht as per venue regulations. As stated above the success of this event relies heavily on fundraising. The more help will get with fundraising the better this event will be! We need to raise over 20K to cover the event with the current ticket prices. There are several dates available to volunteer for Bingo Knights (we need four volunteers for each date), as well as fundraisers at Cava and Vino Tabi planned. We will also be holding ‘Knight Out’ events at various restaurants in the area when Grad Night will receive a portion of the proceeds from that night. All donations are tax deductible and will ensure that all graduates are able to attend this special night. PRE-PURCHASE AND SAVE!
