Soquel High School offers a variety of sports and is part of the Santa Cruz County Athletic League. In the fall we offer Cross Country, Football, Girls Golf, GirlsTennis, Girls Volleyball, and Waterpolo. In winter we offer Basketball,Soccer and Wrestling, and in the spring there is Baseball, Softball,Track & Field, Swimming & Diving, Boys Tennis, Boys Golf, and Boys Volleyball. Many of the schedules are tentative socheck with the coach for the final schedule. Head Coach: Mitch Meyer 429-3909 x172 Asst. Coach: Rick Erlin, Brett Maas, Robert Zuniga Athletic Director: Ron Myers 429-3950 CONGRATULATIONS! The Soquel High Baseball Team won their first CCS playoff game, beating Thomas More 6-1 Wednesday afternoon. Robbie Dice pitched two innings and Cedar Morgan pitched five, and both had hot bats. Cedar's hit in the bottom of the fourth inning gave Soquel the go-ahead run, and Robbie blasted a home run over the left field fence. The Knights play #2 ranked Menlo in the CCS Quarter Finals at 7 p.m. Fri., May 16 at Washington Park in Santa Clara. Read the Santa Cruz Sentinel article recapping the first round CCS playoff game. |
