so, GREAT! Yearbook wants 'em! Please drop all FOTOS off in
the box in the Main Office.

Books cost $85 to April 1; they will cost $90 from April 1 to arrival.
We are no longer accepting senior ads.
Unfortunately, this year students cannot get their names engraved on the book; nor can they have emblems engraved on the book.
If any local businesses are interested in purchasing an ad in the book,
have them call Ann Zachan ASAP (ext 220) because time is running out!
ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB: Do you care about the environment
and want to make a difference? Come to the ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB
each Thursday during brunch in room 122.
TRANSCRIPTS: March 7 is the deadline to clear
incompletes/grade changes from January 2008. March 7 also is the deadline to inform your counselor that you want to
record any of your Cabrillo classes on your high school transcript.
CABRILLO COLLEGE: Seniors who want to go to
Cabrillo next year should come into the counseling office to pick up their math
and English assessment forms. Doing these tests on Saturday, April
19th, will ensure them entrance into “running start” early
registration on May 16. A Cabrillo College representative will conduct an
orientation session for seniors at lunch on Monday, April 28.
DROPPING
COURSES: Friday, March 14, is the last day to drop a course without having it appear on
your transcript. Thereafter, a withdrawal or withdrawal failure will be issued
for a dropped course
DO YOU LIKE TO SING, PERFORM, AND TRAVEL? Complete
graduation requirements and have a great time doing it! Audtions
for the 2008-2009 JAZZ SINGERS and CONCERT CHOIR are now
happeneing. SIGN UP IN THE MUSIC ROOM FOR AN AUDITION TIME!
MR. SHS: SENIOR BOYS....are you interested in
participating in the Mr. SHS
Contest? If so, go sign up in the Main Office. We are
looking to get a variety of participants to represent Soquel.
Sign up by Tuesday, March 4th!!!! In addition, ALL boys who sign
up will be required to go to an informational meeting in the MU Room on
Wednesday, 3/5 during brunch.
STUDENT STORE:
...is now OPEN! Come and check out our new take on the Student at
break. We have brand new shirts and sweatshirts degined by Nikki
Dnace! Did I mention our new hats just came in ? So come
check them out!
GOING GREEN: As
of Monday, March 3, the cafeteria will no longer be serving
CUP-O-SOUP. Due to a county ordinance, SHS will not be able to
sell this product in its existing styrarfoam container. Soon
there will be special recepticles on the campus for syrafoam ONLY.
JOB FAIR: Thursday, March 6, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at
the SC Teen Center. It's free, so come visit the "one stop job
shop" with all the local employers.
AUDITIONS! AUDITIONS! AUDITIONS! FOR THE
MUSICAL!!!....will be on Weds., 3/ 5 and Thurs., 3/6 from 3-5. Come prepared to sing a song on Weds. in a closed audition and
you will do a cold reading and learn some dance moves on Thurs. You must come
both days. A piano will be available if you bring your own music and pianist. A
CD player will also be available. Questions? See Mrs. Kline in Room 602 or the MU.
Sign up sheets will be posted on the stage door.It's the perfect opportunity to take that singing
out of the shower and let the world hear your voice!
