Books cost $85 to April 1; they will cost $90 from April 1 to arrival.
If any local businesses are interested in purchasing an ad in the book,
have them call Ann Zachan ASAP (ext 220) because time is running out!
HOST FAMILIES NEEDED: How
hospitable is Soquel High School? Five more host families are
needed fro French students from our sister school in Cognac. For
more information, please see Denise Keplinger in 218.
YO!: Campus
Supervisor, Tjoni Jacobs, will no longer forgive students who forgot to
place parking permits in plain view. If your parking permit is
not in plain view, you will be ticketed and the ticket will NOT BE
excused unless you come to Tjoni and beg forgiveness with the following
quote: "I forgot to put my permit in plain view."
MR. SHS PAGEANT: The
annual Mr. SHS PAgeant is Thursday, March 13 in the MU from 7:00 p.m.
to 10:00 p.m. Buy your presale ticket in the Student Store during
brunch for $4, or at the door for $5 without ASB, $4 with ASB.
Don't forget to support your favorite senior boy.
SENIORS: There
are many local scholarships that are seeking applicants. Come by
the Counseling Office and check out the scholarship drawer.
Filing deadlines are fast approaching.
SENIORS: GRAD-NITE tickets will be on sale Friday,
March 14 at 12:30 in the quad. Tickets cost $100. Please
have the form filled out. Forms are available in the front
office. Ticket price increases on April 1st.
KEY CLUB: Meets Tuesday during break in Alaimo's room (211).
SOPHOMORES: Be sure to turn in your yellow course
request to your English teacher on Monday. Counselors need these
forms before they can give you classes for next year.
ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB: Do you care about the
environment and want to make a difference? Come to the
ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB each Thursday during brunch in room 122.
SENIORS: Are you interested in becoming a teacher?
If so, Soquel High's Scholarship Committee wants to know. Please
see Mr. Emery or Ms. Miranda as soon as possible about your plans.
AP STUDENTS: March 14 is the deadline for exam
balances to be paid. Our order needs to be sent in this month so
please get your money in to the Finance Office. If you are
applying for a fee waiver, your application is due to Ms. Whitmore by
this Friday, 3/7.
CABRILLO COLLEGE: Seniors who want to go to Cabrillo next
year should come into the counseling office to pick up their math and
English assessment forms. Doing these tests on Saturday, April 19th,
will ensure them entrance into “running start” early registration on
May 16. A Cabrillo College representative will conduct an orientation
session for seniors at lunch on Monday, April 28.
DROPPING COURSES: THIS Friday, March 14, is the last day to
drop a course without having it appear on your transcript. Thereafter,
a withdrawal or withdrawal failure will be issued for a dropped course

graduation requirements and have a great time doing it! Audtions
for the 2008-2009 JAZZ SINGERS and CONCERT CHOIR are now
