The SHS Daily Bulletin is a valuable reference where millions of
online viewers seek and find information about school events, sports,
club meetings, etc. It is also a publication that reflects the
incredible school spirit, ever-present professional demeanor and
dedicated allegiance of our students and, most definitely, our staff to
Soquel High.
DRESS FOR SCHOOL: We
understand that you all strive to be respectful of the school and of
others; therefore we want to remind you of some of the aspects of the
dress code. Please consider that the following are not allowed at
school or school events. 1) Strapless or
backless tops 2) See-through or revealing
material/clothes 3) Pants or clothing worn so low as to
reveal undergarments 4) Excessive exposure of midriff and
other areas 5) Gang attire or clothing that makes reference
to drugs, alcohol or tobacco
If, for some reaseon, you misinterpret the dress code, we will be happy to loan a cover-up garment to you for the day.
STUDENTS AND STAFF: TODAY,
March 17th, we will be involved in CODE RED training. Please be
attentive to the established protocols in each of your class periods,
and be ready to perform the procedures for in-class and out-of-class
situations. We will have a Code Red drill on Monday, April 7th
during B5.
HOST FAMILIES NEEDED: How
hospitable is Soquel High School? Five more host families are
needed fro French students from our sister school in Cognac. For
more information, please see Denise Keplinger in 218.

YO!: Campus
Supervisor, Tjoni Jacobs, will no longer forgive students who forgot to
place parking permits in plain view. If your parking permit is
not in plain view, you will be ticketed and the ticket will NOT BE
excused EVEN if you come to Tjoni and beg forgiveness with the following
quote: "I forgot to put my permit in plain view." So sorry.
SENIORS: There
are many local scholarships that are seeking applicants. Come by
the Counseling Office and check out the scholarship drawer.
Filing deadlines are fast approaching.
ALL 9TH AND 11TH GRADERS: Please bring your yellow course request form to your English class TODAY, March 17th.
ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB: Do you care about the
environment and want to make a difference? Come to the
ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB each Thursday during brunch in room 122.
CABRILLO COLLEGE: Seniors who want to go to Cabrillo next
year should come into the counseling office to pick up their math and
English assessment forms. Doing these tests on Saturday, April 19th,
will ensure them entrance into “running start” early registration on
May 16. A Cabrillo College representative will conduct an orientation
session for seniors at lunch on Monday, April 28.
DO YOU LIKE TO SING, PERFORM, AND TRAVEL? Complete
graduation requirements and have a great time doing it! Audtions
for the 2008-2009 JAZZ SINGERS and CONCERT CHOIR are now
happeneing. SIGN UP IN THE MUSIC ROOM FOR AN AUDITION TIME!
SOQUEL'S SOFTBALL TEAM will
have their first home game TODAY, March 17 at 4:00 p.m. This
game will also be televised as the GAME OF THE WEEK. Come on out
and support the softball team and cheer them on. With your
support, the team can get off to a good start towards another SCCAL
Championship.
