Daily Bulletin is a valuable reference where millions of online viewers
seek and find information about school events, sports, club meetings,
etc. It is also a publication that reflects the incredible school
spirit, ever-present professional demeanor and dedicated allegiance of
our students and, most definitely, our staff to Soquel High.
SENIORS: As the Prom and Graduation are quickly approaching,
we just want to remind you to make sure all of your feesare paid and
your Saturday School hours are completed. Failure to do so will prevent
you from attending the Prom. Additionally, you will not receive your
diploma until these obligations are completed. The Office will be closed
for the summer after June 19.
PANORAMIC PIC: TODAY is the last day to turn in your envelope with $20 for the panoramic class pic for 2008.
YOSEMITE TRIP -- Soquel High's
wilderness program will sponsor a free week-long backpacking trip in Yosemite
the week after school's out. Students can earn 2 1/2 credits on the experience.
See Ms. Robinson in the counseling office for details.
LOST AND FOUND: Clothing
items have been piling up in the front office!! Please check on
Thursday during brunch and lunch on the ground outside the front office
and claim what is only yours. At the end of the day the leftovers
will be donated to charity.
TRANSCRIPTS FOR SENIORS: If you need a transcript
to be sent to a college after graduation, you must fill out a
TRANSCRIPT REQUEST form outside of The Registrar's Office and her $1.00
for each transcript. Sign up no and the request will be held until
grades are posted. You must write the address of the college on the
request form so be sure to have it with you.
AP TEXTBOOKS: Reminder
to all AP teachers and students that ALL A.P. textbooks must bereturned
by May 23. Mathematics and science are to be returned to the library,
all others to the textbook room. After May 23, outstanding AP books
will be billed.
STUDENTS: We understand that
you all strive to be respectful of the school and of others; therefore
we want to remind you of some aspects of the dress code. Please
consider that the following are not allowed at school or school
events. Strapless or backless tops; Spaghetti string or
see-through straps; See-through or revealing material/clothes; Pants or
clothing worn so low as to reveal undergarments; Excessive
exposure of midriff and other areas; Gang attire or clothing that
makes reference to drugs, alcohol or tobacco. If, for some reason, you
misinterpret the dress code, we will be happy to loan a cover-up
garment to you for the day.
NEW ROP COURSE: Do
you like adventure? The outdoors? Money? How about considering an
outdoor career? There will be a new ROP course focusing on outdoor
adventure careers next year, provided enough students are
interested.The course will offer up to five credits a semester and will
be taught on the first two Saturdays of each month. If interested, see
Ms.Robinson in the Counseling Office.
SWIMMERS/DIVERS: ....mark
your calendar for the end-of-season Awards Banquet and potluck dinner.
This event will be held Tuesday, 5/27 at 6:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose
Room. See Mr. Knapp to find out what to bring.
CABRILLO REGISTRATION--Seniors
can go to Cabrillo College on Friday to register early for their
classes for next fall. Be sure to have your parent excuse you from
attending Soquel High that day, or you will be marked absent.
JOB OPPORTUNITY: Shampoo Chez,
again, has need for a weekend store helper. See Cheryl inthe Main
Office for details. ALSO: Need volunteer community service
hours? See Cheryl in Main Office for details about Aptos' Aegis
Retirement Community postions.
PROM STUFF: Seniors,
the Prom is scheduled for Friday, 5/30. To be eligible to purchase a
bid, students must fulfill the following requirements: All
athletic,library and textbook fees must be paid; all
SaturdaySchool time mustbe completed; NO unexcused absences for the
entire weekof May 26; NO suspensions for the year; ALL parking tickets
must bepaid; all detention time served; all graduation
announcements,invitations, and other graduation equipment picked up;
all requested IDcards must be paid for and picked up. Bids are
in sale at the Attendance Office Window. Please check the list of
ineligible studentsand clear your obligations before you wait in line.
GRAD NITE BABIES: SENIORS:
Be sure to bring a picture for the GRAD NIGHT BABY PICTURE WALL. Guess
who is in the photo and win!!!!! Unfortunately, pictures cannot
bereturned. Please put pictures in the labeled box in the office by
June 6.
There are openings in ROP Video Productions and Bike Repair classes for
next year. If interested, see Farol Henderson or your counselor.Both
classes will be offered at Harbor High during the school day.
CONGRATULATIONS toall
seniors who collected their graduation equipment.....HOWEVER, there are
a few who have still not picked up announcements, invitations,caps,
gowns, etc. Please see Cheryl in the front office with your $5 fee as
soon as possible to collect these necessary items. Thank you.
CLUB DAY is May
23, so get ready for some fun food in the 2nd quad! If you're in a club,
turn your slip in to the front office ASAP or else you will get eaten by
a werewolf. The deadline for turning in your intent to selland what
items you will sell is May 16.
SENIORS: Please check
list of overdue textbooks posted on the door of the TextbookRoom. Books
must be returned or bills paid before yearbook distribution, prom, and
graduation.
