The
SHS Daily Bulletin is a valuable reference where millions of online
viewers seek and find information about school events, sports, club
meetings, etc. It is also a publication that reflects the incredible
school spirit, ever-present professional demeanor and dedicated
allegiance of our students and, most definitely, our staff to Soquel
High.
SENIORS: As Graduation is quickly
approaching,we just want to remind you to make sure all of your fees
are paid andyour Saturday School hours are completed. Failure to do so
will prevent you from receiving your diploma until these obligations are completed. The Office
will be closed for the summer after June 19.
FINALSSSSSSSS ARE COMING! Feel
more prepared and come to Study Fest THIS Sunday from 11-2 in the
library. There will be pizza for all the hard workers who come
and study.
WORK PERMITS: Please
be aware that work permits may be revoked if your semester grades are
below a C average (2.0 GPA) and your attendance is poor.
BLUE & GOLD: Our last and best B&G Friday is
TODAY! Dress up for free pizza and to play carnival games.
There will be pizza, music, games, yummy food and loads of fun.
Soquel Mountain Posse, the winners of Battle of The Bands, is playing
in the first quad at break. But all the fun of the Blue &
Gold Carnival happens at lunch in the first quad.
LOCKERS: All
lockers must be emptied by Friday, June13 at 5:00 pm. Starting
Monday 6/9, there will be trash cans in all the hallways for any itmes
you want to dispose of with everything left behind after 6/13 going to
Goodwill or the dump. Please be sure you return all textbooks and
library books to their proper location and NOT the trash cans!
SENIORS: Buy your Grad Night ticket this Friday in the front quad at 12:30......$110.
KEY CLUBBERS: Our last meeting will be THURSDAY, June 5th!
Please make sure you are in Ms. Alaimo's room during brunch.
ATHLETIC TRAINER COURSE -- Here's a new ROP class for all of
you athletically-minded students! ROP will offer an Athletic Trainer class
starting this fall at Harbor High from 7:20-8:20 AM on Friday mornings only plus
1 Saturday per month. You can earn at least 1 credit with possibility of more
with an internship! See Farol Henderson in room 121 for signups!
CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION CAREERS: Sign
up for the CSI summer 2008 class at Harbor High....June 16-July 17 from
9 am-noon. Up to 3 credits available. See Farol
Henderson in room 121 to sign up this week.
KNIGHTS OF THE SQUARE STAGE present The One Acts
This year's not over and finals can't begin until The Knights of
The Square Stafe present the student directed/student written one act
plays on Saturday, June 7 at 7:30....only $5 for quality
entertainment. Just the original thing to do for that special
dated for that quirky relationship to begin....The One Acts - it's
quick, it's easy, it's fantabulous!!
YEARBOOK INFO: Congratulations to
Kaitlin Bullock, winner of the FREE yearbook raffle drawing! The 2008
yearbook is almost here! Early distribution will cost $2 and will take
place during lunch and after school from Thurs., 6/6 – Fri., 6/7 in
room 312. Books will NOT be distributed Wed., 6/5. Mass distribution is
free and will take place each day after school from Mon., 6/9 – Wed.,
6/11 in room 312. Bring your ID!!! Still need to purchase a yearbook?
Pick up an order form from the Finance Office and turn it in by Fri.,
6/6. Orders submitted after Tuesday, 6/3 will not be able to partake in
early distribution. Students can purchases yearbooks for $90 at room
312 after school during mass distribution from Mon.,6/9 – Weds., 6/11.
INTERESTED IN THE OUTDOORS?
-- How about a career in the outdoors? ROP next year is offering a
course that will focus on outdoor adventure, careers and ecology. The
class is for five units a semester and will be on the first and second
Saturdays of the month. If interested, see Ms. Robinson in the
counseling office.
CAREERS WITH CHILDREN:
Are you interested in working with children, perhaps in early childhood
education or teaching? ROP will offer "Careers with Children" starting
in September at Santa Cruz High. The class will be offered
Monday/Wednesdays 3:30-5:30 pm. Come register ASAP with Farol Henderson
in room 121.
TRANSCRIPTS FOR SENIORS: If you need a
transcript to be sent to a college after graduation, you must fill out
a TRANSCRIPT REQUEST form outside of The Registrar'sOffice and her
$1.00 for each transcript. Sign up no and the request will be held
until grades are posted. You must write the address of the college on
the request form so be sure to have it with you.
GRAD NITE BABIES: SENIORS, be sure to bring a
picture for the GRAD NIGHT BABY PICTURE WALL. Guess who is in the photo
and win!!!!! Unfortunately, pictures cannot be returned. Please put
pictures in the labeled box in the office by June 6.
SENIORS: Please
check list of overdue textbooks posted on the door of the Textbook
Room. Books must be returned or bills paid before yearbook
distribution, and graduation.
